PLANNED GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Planned or "deferred" giving allows you to leave a lasting legacy for Casa Esperanza while helping to reduce your taxable estate. You will feel secure in the knowledge that the charity you so thoughtfully supported during your lifetime will continue to benefit from your generosity.
You will need to work with your attorney or estate planner to create or change your will or living trust, but the process is fairly simple.
Planned gifts may take many forms, including:
- A charitable bequest allows you to name Casa Esperanza as a beneficiary in your will or living trust.
- A life insurance policy allows you to name Casa Esperanza as a beneficiary to all or part of your policy proceeds which may no longer be necessary to the financial security of your heirs.
- A savings account, certificate of deposit or another savings plan allows you to designate Casa Esperanza as a beneficiary of these accounts.
- A charitable gift annuity allows you to make a gift to Casa Esperanza and receive an annual income for life, with a portion of each annual payment tax-free.
- A charitable remainder trust allows you to establish a trust which allows you or your family to retain income from your property for life with an income tax deduction. Casa Esperanza receives the remaining assets after your heirs are provided for.
We encourage donors to let us know about any deferred gifts to Casa Esperanza, as it assists us in our long-range planning and gives us the opportunity to recognize your generosity during your lifetime. Just write to us and confirm your arrangements for a deferred gift, and we will proudly add your name to our prestigious Legacy Society, which will earn an engraved tile in your honor in our Garden Wall of Hope.
